From swimwear to ready-to-wear clothing, knits, and activewear, Francesca has expanded Frankies Bikinis' offerings to include a wide range of ultra-flattering, feminine styles.
About the Role:
Leap is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Area Manager to lead a cluster of Frankies Bikinis stores in Southern California. This role is ideal for a passionate retail leader who thrives on driving results through people, loves being close to the customer, and can seamlessly shift between strategic oversight and hands-on execution. The Area Manager will oversee approximately 2–5 store locations, while directly managing one store. This role is based in-store four days per week, with one day dedicated to administrative and office-related responsibilities.
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for creating and sustaining high-performing store environments that consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences. You’ll be instrumental in hiring, developing, and supporting store teams—ensuring that each location is staffed with individuals who reflect the brand’s values and are equipped to meet business goals. Your leadership will directly influence employee retention, sales performance, and team culture across the region.
Your day-to-day will involve deep collaboration with store teams, ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the business—from visual presentation and back-of-house execution to staffing strategies and client service. You’ll use data to inform your decisions, regularly reviewing performance metrics and identifying areas of opportunity. Business recaps with brand partners and weekly internal calls with the broader Leap team will keep you connected to key stakeholders and help align your store strategies with brand objectives.
In addition to managing existing locations, you’ll play a vital role in new store openings—leading everything from recruitment and training to events and merchandising. You’ll also champion brand-led initiatives in-store, helping execute activations that drive traffic, engage customers, and bring the brand to life in meaningful ways.
This is a people-first role that also demands sharp operational acumen and a strong sense of ownership. You’ll be a true ambassador for Frankies Bikinis in your market—building talent pipelines, gathering product and client insights, and contributing to the brand’s growth in new and existing communities.
Position Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- 5+ years of retail and customer service management experience, including at least 1 year overseeing multi-unit or big box store operations.
- Apparel expertise—ideally in swim or intimates—with a proven ability to manage fitting room operations, deliver elevated client experiences, drive upselling, and navigate high-volume retail environments while fostering long-term customer relationships.
- Proven ability to analyze retail KPIs across multiple locations to inform strategic decisions, optimize performance, and drive sustained business growth.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Los Angeles and Orange County to support store teams and business needs.
- Maintain an active floor presence, including standing and walking for extended periods, with the ability to safely use ladders and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Annual Pay Range: $80k to $90k. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, competencies, and qualifications.
