The role:

At Leap, the Merchandising Analyst plays a key role in providing insights and recommendations for store inventory strategies that drive store performance. This includes analyzing store on hand, quantitative sales data and qualitative insights provided by store teams on a weekly basis. Reporting to our Senior Merchandising Strategy Manager, this role will contribute to developing new merchandising strategies to drive store performance, but also help manage day to day in store processes such as inventory tracking, receiving and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities:

  •  Evaluate and understand quantitative/quantitative store data and insights to provide actionable recommendations to Senior Manager
    •  Selling
    •  Assortment: Breadth/Depth
    •   Pricing and Promotion
    •  Lost sales/ Out of Stocks
    • Consumer insights
  • Monitor and evaluate stock positions of Leap doors on a weekly basis. Support in preparation for brand meetings with replenishments recommendations as needed
  • Assist in developing supply strategies to minimize out of stocks while maximizing sales
  • Monitor timing and scope of seasonal assortment changes
  • Streamlining and driving process for day-to-day store operations in relation to inventory management
  • Oversee shipping, receiving and reconciliation of inventory replenishments with store managers
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising to measure and quantify impact of in store optimizations and visual strategies
  • Manage and update inventory in Shopify across all Leap stores

Preferred experience, skills & attributes:

  • 2-3 years of relevant professional corporate retail/merchandising experience required (buying/planning preferred) 
  • 1+year experience with Shopify
  • Experience and/or passion for retail, fashion and DTC
  • Highly proficient in data analysis inclusive of Excel data manipulation /organization
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with attention to detail
  •  Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving / growth company environment

 

Outcomes & measures of success:

  •  Successful management of inventory breadth and depth across all doors to maximize sales and minimize OOS
  • Continuous recommendations of new strategies as it relates to merchandising and assortment planning
  • Continuous cross functional communication with internal stakeholders to understand product recommendations and updates
  • Collaboration with Senior Merchandising Strategy Manager for implementation of streamlined inventory processes
