Manager, Analytics

The role:
You'll be the first Analytics focused individual to join the team.  Working closely with our CTO and software/data engineering team and other leaders and stakeholders throughout the company, and our brand customers, you'll leverage our proprietary, rapidly growing data set to deliver insights which inform operational and strategic decisions across the business, and play a key role in developing Analytics as a core team/function within the company.  Data, systems and scale are core to our strategy, and in this role you'll interface with teams across the organization to inform decisions and development efforts to "tool up" and "level up" our Analytics practices as a core competency of the business over time.

Key responsibilities:

You'll help to drive growth and improve performance of the business by: 

  • Analyzing and reporting on store and omnichannel business performance KPIs and related data across brands on the platform
  • Analyzing and reporting on business performance KPIs and related data across stores and markets (footprint/rollup level)
  • Regularly collaborating with Product Managers and Software & Data Engineers to help automate data processing/integration and analysis, via a range of tools/systems (e.g. Python, dbt, BigQuery, Data Studio, and others)
  • Driving research and assessment of external / third-party datasets and tools
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis, from time to time
  • Helping to build our culture of teamwork, high performance and fun by being encouraging, supportive, sensitive, honest and humble as we build and learn together

Desired experience and attributes:

  • 4+ years experience in data and/or analytics management in a consumer business (modern brand i.e. DTC ecomm/retail is a plus, but not required)
  • Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to work on continuous improvement of processes and systems, as well as innovation / new capability creation
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high growth business environment
  • Technical experience using modern BI/analytics tools like Data Studio, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Curiosity and a sense of humor
