The Role:
The Director, Retail Success Premier plays a critical role in managing multi-store performance, driving operational excellence, and fostering strong brand partnerships. This role ensures that each store delivers on financial, operational, and brand goals, creating a high-impact retail experience that supports long-term growth and brand success.  

We're seeking a strategic leader to launch and cultivate our exclusive Premier segment, dedicated to delivering unparalleled luxury experiences for brands and stores with high Average Order Values (AOV). This leader will be instrumental in crafting and executing a sophisticated clienteling and planned business strategy that fosters deep relationships and drives sustained store performance growth. This role demands a keen eye for talent to develop a robust recruiting strategy to attract and retain top-tier luxury sales professionals. Furthermore, you'll be a key partner to the Growth team, actively attracting potential brands to join this elite segment, ensuring a curated and exceptional offering for our discerning clientele. Core Responsibilities:

Retail Store Performance

  • Oversee the success of field leaders (Area Managers & General Managers), ensuring financial performance, customer experience, and operational KPIs are consistently met.
  • Utilize business acumen and performance data to drive actionable plans that meet sales, remittance, and store profitability goals. Doing so in partnership with brands, internal partners, and store teams
  • Identify operational challenges impacting store performance and develop scalable action plans to address inefficiencies.
 

Team Development & Management 

  • Directly lead and develop field leaders (Area Managers & General Managers), ensuring strong leadership presence through consistent coaching and performance management.
  • Implement programs focused on retail execution, customer service excellence, people development, and sales optimization.
  • Foster a high-engagement culture by facilitating recognition programs, team development initiatives, and career growth opportunities.
 

Brand & Account Management

  • Cultivate strong relationships with brand executives, supporting them in achieving their business goals and consistently delivering on Leap standards.
  • Support brand expansion and renewal efforts by identifying new market opportunities and assessing store feasibility in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Act as a trusted partner to brands, leveraging business insights to advise on areas such as merchandising, marketing, and customer experience to boost performance.
 

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

  • Drive alignment between cross-functional teams that enhance both store performance and brand success.
  • Participate in key internal and external meetings to drive both brand and store-level insights, performance, and feedback.
  • Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership, facilitating data-driven discussions and strategic action planning.
 

Cross Functional Program Development to Drive Segment

  • Work with internal and brand partners to create programs that will define and elevate the customer and store team experience (clienteling, appointments, out of store marketing, VIP events)
  • Partner to leverage retail tools & systems such as Endear/Waitwhile to drive program development and adoption, driving store performance
  • Partner with Growth & Finance teams to consult on the GTM strategy for this segment, attracting new brands, driving margin, and elevating Leap’s brand in the industry
 

Measures of Success:

  • Sales Performance: Store-level financial and operational KPIs consistently achieved, focusing on remittance and profitability.
  • Brand & Employee Feedback: Drive brand NPS scores and support positive employee sentiment.
  • Long-Term Impact: Support brand renewals & expansion, focusing on expansion readiness and reduced brand churn.

Salary Range Transparency

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $160,000-$185,000. This role is commission eligible. All corporate roles are eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
